This is a lovely place. Easy to walk through. The tour of the lighthouse was awesome! Everyone was nice that we talked to. Very well kept.
We would absolutely camp here again, but would pitch our tent closer to the park office, playground and RVs. If you pitch your tent further away from these areas or around the yurts you run a higher risk of noisy neighbors.
One of the better campgrounds I've been too. Beautiful location right on the shore of Lake Ontario, can see awesome sunrises and sunsets from there. Verizon cell coverage is terrible from there, data is 2mb/s at the most ... when you can find it.
Late July weather was great, with a cool breeze coming off the lake pretty much the entire time. Compared to many places in the SE, the humidity was low and I don't recall any mosquitoes. Our boys loved the playground. Toilet, shower and laundry facilities were very clean.
Great views, nice place to picnic and fish at the boat ramps. Really cool tour of lighthouse, check it out.
A great option for camping if you're planning to visit Niagara Falls and Buffalo, NY. The only issue we had involved some noisy young folks camping next to us the first night, which is a risk you run any time you go camping. They were loud and drinking late into the night. The staff do not patrol at night, so if you think you're about to setup camp next to some noisy folks you may want to ask about another spot. We relocated the next day (near 019) and the next two nights were very nice/quite.
Beautiful shore park with good camping spots. Lighthouse is a bonus. Lots of hiking trails.
